Still have a few weeks before the bike gets sent home so I decided to go explore Uruguay a bit. Day one is another long, flat road, complete with torrential downpour. Not much to salvage from the day. Had to bail out of the ride as there was a second huge thunderstorm in the way and had to spend $80 on a hotel room as that’s all I could find in Dolores. The most expensive hotel on the entire trip!
