I ran out of gas in my main tanks 26 km from a gas station. I had 1.25 liters in bottles. I was tucked and driving at optimal rpms and coasted into the gas station. Can't cut it any closer than that. Dirt roads and wind made for a fuel consumption level that I considered to be worst case. I thought, "worst case it'll be close but I think I'll make it." Next time I'll stop for gas.
